Training

At Liverpool Running Bugs, we offer varied training sessions throughout the week that cater for all abilities, with the aim to improve your fitness and running ability, whilst keeping that special friendly Bug social spirit. With the exception of the track we meet up at the Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park in Huyton at 6.45 and head out at 7pm. Monday Night Track

The Bugs and welcome guests are off to the running track at Kirkby High School. The hour sessions makes use of the schools 400m track, with a well structured training that will improve your fitness, meaning you'll smash your 5k and 10k times......keeping your running right on track.

Tuesday Night Effort Session

If intervals, hills & and pyramid training exercises are your thing then this effort session will help you build an important foundation to your running. We hold this session at various locations, depending on the time of year, ensuring the routine is fresh and the challenge different every week.

Thursday Evening Steady Run

To help you get some miles into those legs, the bugs leaders and coaches head out with there groups on a long run, sometimes there's a sneaky effort session along the way. Ranging from approx 4 to 8 miles, depending on the group, this is a chance for you get an hours run in and see the local sights. 

Strength & Condtioning

This session, led by a qualified fitness instructor, works on your core strength with the aim to not only improve your running prowess but also fend off injury.
